This Privacy Policy explains how the FlipLab extension collects, uses, stores, and shares user data.

1. Data We Collect

• Selected text and optional surrounding context that you choose to translate.
• Vocabulary items that you save to your FlipLab account.
• Authentication token in Chrome local storage to keep your sign-in session.
• Extension preferences (language settings, hotkeys, popup behavior, and feature toggles).

2. How We Use Data

• Provide translation and dictionary features requested by the user.
• Save user-selected vocabulary to the user account.
• Sync preferences and improve reliability of the extension.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers needed to deliver extension features:

• FlipLab backend services (fliplab.io.vn and subdomains) for account and saved vocabulary.
• Translation and language APIs when users invoke those features, including translate.googleapis.com, api.dictionaryapi.dev, api.datamuse.com, api.mymemory.translated.net, and api.ocr.space.

4. Website Access Scope

The extension can run on web pages where users select text for translation and vocabulary saving. It does not sell browsing data and does not use browsing activity for advertising.

5. Storage and Retention

• Local preferences and temporary extension data are stored in Chrome storage on the user's device.
• Saved vocabulary and account-related data are retained in FlipLab systems until deleted by the user or account owner.

6. Security

We use HTTPS for data transmission between the extension and network services.

7. User Controls

• You can uninstall the extension at any time.
• You can clear extension data by removing local storage data in Chrome.
• You can request account or data deletion by contacting us.
